The Chickahominy Indian Tribe will join Native American friends and visitors from all over the country when they gather on the Chickahominy Tribal Grounds for their 66th Annual Fall Festival and Pow-Wow. On this historic occasion, visitors will have an opportunity to experience Eastern Woodlands’ Indian culture with one of the Tribes that were here to make first contact with the settlers in 1607. Grounds will open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, with the Saturday, September 23rd Grand Entry at 12:00 noon and Sunday, September 24th Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m. The festival/Pow-wow will feature Native American dancers, drummers, singers and cultural demonstrations. United States Armed Forces Veterans will be honored each day. The festival is open to the public. Admission is free, donations will be accepted at the gate. Plenty of free parking is available with golf cart transportation provided to the grounds. Organizers suggest bringing lawn chairs or blankets. Personal canopies are prohibited around the dance circle. Pow-Wow etiquette will be followed. For health and safety reasons, no alcohol, drugs or pets are permitted on the Pow-Wow grounds.
